CalvinR.DelplecheistheArtistandC.E.OofCaribbeanGlassStudioSt.Kitts.He
hasanAssociate’sDegreeinArchitecturefromtheClarenceFitzroyBryant
College. Hegainedinitialintroductiontostainedglassart duringhis
architecturalstudiesbyLeonieCarey,thenmanagerofGlassIslandformerlya
glassartstudiofoundedbyItalianGianniBraccialli.Calvinappliedandgained
employmentatGlassIslandin2008.
UnderthetutelageofGianniBraccialli,astrongfoundationinthefusingand
slumpingofglasswasgarnered. Beinganaturalartistthepencilbeinghisfirst
love,atransitiontoglasswasideal. AsGlassIsland’sheadartistCalvinwasgiven
thetasktostandardizethedesignsandbreathefreshlifeintotheorganization,for
hebelievedanythingwaspossibleinglassandnochallengetoomonumental.
GlassIslandunfortunatelybecameacasualtyoftheeconomicrecession,butgave
birthtoGlassIslandDesignzwithLeonieCareyatitshelmandCalvinasArtist,
untilAugustof2011.

As Artist I create unique piecesthatdepict scenes, animalsor random
abstract designs thatdetail theRhythms oflifein St. Kittsand Nevis,
theCaribbean,the World andessentiallymy Mind.
I neverendeavortorecreate anyone piece, each of my Artwork isas
unique asyou andI,each beginsinitiallyfrom nothing……matures and
thenfused tofinallyfulfillitsdestiny, asbeing Artisticallycreatedby
