It should be that Canada should have the protective responsibility to the point where they are only supporting Afghani government, not forcing democracy upon them. Also, Canada should be teaching them democracy so when we pull out of the country, the will be capable to handle the responsibility themselves. What absolves Canada of the responsibility? Canada is absolved of their responsibility in Afghanistan when the Afghani people no longer as a whole want democracy as their countries government. We as Canadians would not want something pushed upon us because that is not what our democratic system is about, so we cannot be hypocritical about our principals.
