Camp Independence is a Webelos summer camp located at Heritage Reservation, which is considered one of the finest Scout camps in the Boy Scouts of America. The camp offers over 2,200 acres and a 270-acre lake for activities. The 2011 camp highlights a pirate theme and new challenges for Scouts to complete tasks in various program areas. Scouts can work on advancement in areas like aquatics, climbing, and ecology while also participating in activities such as campfires, stargazing, and hiking to a Boy Scout camp. The camp runs June 26-30 and provides a daily schedule including flag ceremonies, meals, and evening programs.
