Incasso is het middel dat je inzet als debiteuren niet of veel te laat betalen. Soms is het goed om je tanden te laten zien en je vast te bijten in sommige dossiers.
Wat voor soort visser ben jij? Leun je achterover en wacht je rustig af tot een debiteur betaalt. En val je in slaap als die niet toehapt?
Of ga je pro-actief aan de slag om ervoor te zorgen dat je uitstaande facturen binnenhengelt? Dat is mijn eerste tip voor vandaag.
Hoe helder is de communicatie met debiteuren? In troebel water heb je weinig zicht.
Voordat je met een klent in zee gaat, werp eens een blik op de website. [Jij weet welke info je hier uit kunt halen]
Of check de Kvk-gegevens van een potentiële klant of debiteur. Komt de binnenkant overeen met de buitenkant?
Ga eerst een kop koffie drinken met een potentiële klant. Een eerste indruk in levende lijve zegt veel meer dan een mailtje of een telefoontje.
Een gezonde vis glimt, kijkt helder uit zijn ogen en stinkt niet. Via Credit Check kun je de financiële gezondheid van een debiteur checken. Razendsnel zien of er bijvoorbeeld een luchtje aan zit.
Moet je als opdrachtgever uit de ‘school’ klappen over potentiële opdrachtgevers of debiteuren. Blijf met elkaar communiceren voor het beste resultaat.
Zeg eens zelf: serveer je mosterd het liefst voor of na de maaltijd? Voor succesvol debiteurenbeheer is vóór de maaltijd belangrijk.
Algemene voorwaarden zijn jouw recept. Stuur die mee met de offerte. Anders worden deze voorwaarden mosterd na de maaltijd.
Check ook van te voren de eisen die een opdrachtgever aan zijn facturen stelt. Voorkom zo onnodige vertragingen in het betalingsverkeer. Bel na 2 of 5 dagen om te checken of alles in orde was.
Sprekend over een factuur en de bijbehorende betalingsvoorwsaarden die je hanteert: jij bent zelf aan zet. Jouw voorwaarden zijn wet.
Hoe meer een koi karper aan richtlijnen voldoet (tekening rode vlekken tonen overeenkomst met Japanse vlag), hoe meer deze vis waard is. Een factuur wordt ook meer waard als hij aan alle wettelijke richtlijnen voldoet.
Leg vast dat je grote opdrachten in een aantap stappen – in mootjes dus – mag factureren. Anders moet je heel lang op je geld wachten.
Stuur direct een factuur als de klus geklaard is of als je een dienst geleverd hebt. Wacht daar niet te lang mee. Komt onproferssioneel over.
Zorg dat je extra werk contractueel of in een extra paragraaf van de offerte vastlegt. Zo voorkom je miscommunicatie en irritaties achteraf.
Je hebt qua kredietinformatie en debiteurenbeheer alles goed en zorgvuldig gedaan. De kans blijft aanwezig dat je achter het net vist. Incasso is dan de volgende stap.
Sommige debiteuren blijven aalgladde smoesjes verkopen waarom ze nog niet betaald hebben. Reken hiermee af. [Voorbeelden geven]
Om geheugen op te frissen: uitleg van wettelijk vastgelegde betalingstermijn van 30 dagen, mits anders overeengekomen. Meer dan 90 dagen mag helemaal niet.
De vis van vandaag wordt verpakt in de krant van gisteren. Wees direct in je communicatie. Hanteer niet eerste, tweede, derde. [Voorbeeld geven]
Betaalt een klant niet op tijd, breng dan een wettelijk rentepercentage in rekening.
Als het met minnelijke incasso niet lukt om een debiteur te overtuigen, dan rest het juridische traject. De rechter bepaalt dan hoe zuiver een debiteur op de graat is.
Samenvattend: om klanten binnen te halen en te laten betalen is het goed om een spierinkje uit te gooien. Blijf helder communiceren. Wijs op verplichtingen, etc, etc. .
En durf ook toe te happen als een debiteur tegendraads is of tegen de stroom inzwemt.
Doe je dat niet, dan loop je de kans dat je naar de haaien gaat.
Kortom: zoals het bekende spreekwoord zegt: vis moet 3x zwemmen. Eerst in water. Heb je beet dan komt er boter bij de vis. En als een debiteur op tijd betaalt, dan is dat reden om het glas te heffen op de samenwerking.
