Kodari is a town on the Nepal-China border located 144 km from Katmandu. The drive from Katmandu to Kodari takes 4-5 hours. At Kodari, cannabis grows freely along the sides of the road and behind people. The "Friendship Bridge" crosses the Bhote Koshi River with Nepal on the left and China (Tibet) on the right. Zhangmu Town in China lies at an altitude of about 2300 meters, about 776 km from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. Crossing the border on foot in the middle of the bridge was an impressive experience that took almost all day. Local transporters carry luggage on their backs.
