Albert Schweitzer argued that humans will not find inner peace until they learn to have compassion for all living things, not just other humans. He believed that true peace comes from recognizing our shared existence with all of life on Earth and treating all beings, human and non-human, with kindness and respect. Expanding our circle of care beyond just our own species is key to attaining inner tranquility.
