This sample presentation contains slides of photos taken on a family vacation. We added special effects--such as animations, transitions, movies, and sounds--to demonstrate ways you can add excitement to the slides. And we’ve used picture-editing tools in Microsoft PowerPoint to create some interesting visual effects. When you’ve finished examining the slides, view the slide show to see the animations, transitions, and movies, and hear the sounds. For this title slide, we used the Title Slide layout, and we placed the mountain photo you see on the title master. To display the title master, on the View menu, point to Master, and then click Title Master . To place a photo on the title master, on the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click From File . Locate the photo you want to use. You can keep your presentation lively by animating the way text or pictures enter, exit, or provide emphasis on a slide. For example, on this slide we open with the simple snowy landscape, then fade the title in, followed by the credit in the upper right corner. After a brief pause, the prompt “Click to start the show!” appears, using a Spinner animation. For instructions on creating animations, see the notes page for slide 4. PowerPoint comes with a set of special effects, or slide transitions, that you can use to control the way you advance from one slide to another. For this slide, we used a Fade Smoothly transition. For instructions on creating slide transitions, see the notes page for slide 7.
