1. The future tense is used to describe actions that will occur later. There are three main ways to express the future in French: going to + verb, the future tense (infinitive + endings), and using the present tense.
2. Formation of the future tense involves using "aller" + verb for the immediate future, the infinitive + specific endings for the regular future, and irregular stems that stay the same for certain verbs.
3. Common time indicators used with the future tense include tomorrow, later, tonight, this afternoon, after, later on, during holidays, next weekend, and next year.
The document provides instructions for conjugating regular -IR verbs in French. It uses the verb "finir" (to finish) as an example to demonstrate how to conjugate -IR verbs in the present tense. The conjugation follows a set pattern of taking the infinitive verb, removing the "-ir", and adding specific endings to the verb stem for each personal pronoun. This produces the full conjugated present tense form of the verb for each pronoun, such as "je finis" for "I finish". Several other -IR verbs are provided as examples to practice conjugating.

2. Le présent
Mae amser y presennol yn cael ei ddefnyddio
i esbonio:
yr hyn rydych yn gwneud nawr
(Rwy’n gwneud fy ngwaith cartref)
yr hyn rydych yn gwneud fel arfer
(Rwy’n chwarae rygbi ar ddydd Sul)
eich barn yn gyffredinol
(Rwy’n hoffi mynd i’r sinema)
ffeithiau sydd ddim yn newid
(Fy enw i yw Sioned)

gyfieithu ‘Rydw i yn’ a ‘chwarae’ ar
yn chwarae
wahan (yn Saesneg – ‘I am’ a ‘playing’) –
am playing
ac yn ysgrifennu rhywbeth tebyg i hyn:

4. Meddyliwch yn ofalus!
• Rhaid bob amser cysidro yr hyn sydd
yn dod ar ôl ‘Rydw i yn’ – os mai
yn
rhywbeth gallwch wneud yw hi (yn
hytrach nac ansoddair i ddisgrifio),
yna’r gair sy’n dilyn yw’r ferf sydd ei
angen: Rydw i’n chwarae / I am playing
• ‘Chwarae’ (‘jouer’ yn Ffrangeg) yw’r
ferf sydd ei angen yn yr achos yma.
5. Gwneud y dewis cywir
• Felly, gan ddefnyddio’r ferf ‘jouer’,
er
a’i ddefnyddio yn amser y presennol,
mi ddylech gyfieithu ‘Rydw i yn
chwarae’ fel hyn:
chwarae
Je joue
(Nodwch: Wrth gyfieithu o’r Saesneg,
mae ‘je joue’ yn gallu golygu unai I
play neu I am playing )
6. Vocabulaire utile

•Yn aml = Souvent
•Pob dydd = Tous les jours
