Startups looking
for resources
Mentors looking
to help
entrepreneurs
Mentors and
startups are
connected
Follow the
mentor/mentee
path that we’ve
established
Both grow and
learn.
Entrepreneurs
Win!
INTERN ENGAGEMENT PARTNERSHIPS
Copyright © 2016 MassChallenge, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 8
Founding member of the Intern Engagement Partnerships Team (IEPT). Established
relationships with John Hancock (LOFT), The Boston Globe, HBS, and PWC in order
connect them with Interns within our program. Scheduled office tours + meetings with
heads of innovation departments and HR.
MOVING FORWARD
Copyright © 2016 MassChallenge, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 9
Head back to school
and continue growing
the Entrepreneurship
Club and the
Entrepreneurship
Community at UMass
Amherst. Encourage
people to aim for
making a large and
disruptive impact on
the world
Start a student-run
Venture Fund at Umass
Amherst. Get in contact
with students who have
done it in other schools
and with Angels/VCs who
have real world
experience. Create an
environment that makes it
simpler for great student-
run companies to receive
funding.
Build up on my technical
and analytical skills. Look
for more opportunities in
the Consulting, Venture
Capital, and Startup
fields. Continue working
on my own startup,
implementing the many
new skills + techniques
that I’ve learned from MC
this summer.
TOP 3 THINGS I LEARNED
FROM MY SUMMER AT MASSCHALLENGE
Copyright © 2016 MassChallenge, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 10
How to efficiently
and effectively
function at a fast
pace
How to better deal
with common issues
that have plagued
startups in the past.
How to deal
with taking on
unfamiliar roles,
and executing
effectively when
in that position.
THANK YOU
