Misty Copeland is the first black female principal dancer in American Ballet Theatre's 75-year history. Despite facing doubts and racism as an African American ballerina, her passion and work ethic helped her rise through the ranks. Copeland now uses her platform to advocate for diversity in ballet and inspire young minority dancers. She was recently featured on the cover of Time magazine and debuted as the Swan Queen, becoming the first black woman in that role with ABT. Copeland continues to challenge stereotypes through her performances and documentary "A Ballerina's Tale."
