The class visited the Cheakamus Centre where they were greeted by cultural program staff and acknowledged that they were on Coast Salish territory. They went on a short forest walk to a longhouse where they were welcomed with ceremonial song and drumming. Students cooked lunch over an open fire using hot rocks and made bannock, then participated in traditional Coast Salish activities. At the end of the day, students shared what they learned from the longhouse experience.

'A River for Everybody' School River Water Quality Project
