Batman first appeared in comic books in May 1939 in Batman issue No. 1. His secret identity is Bruce Wayne, whose parents were murdered when he was a child, leading him to hunt criminals. Though Batman has no superpowers, he uses crime fighting equipment, detective skills, martial arts, science, technology, intimidation, and provocation to avenge his parents' deaths and fight crime.

The Man Who Knew Too Much
Alexander Baron was a British author and screenwriter best known for his novels about World War II such as From the City from the Plough (1948) and The Lowlife (1963). He was born in 1917 in Maidenhead, England and raised in the East End of London. During the 1930s, Baron was a leading activist for the Labour League of Youth which was aligned with the Communist Party, though he later became disillusioned with communism.

Marc Riboud was born in 1923 in Lyon, France. He took his first photographs at the Great Exhibition of Paris in 1937 with a small camera gifted by his father. After studying engineering and working in a factory from 1945-1948, he decided to pursue photography full-time after taking photos at a cultural festival in Lyon. He joined the Magnum photo agency in 1953 after publishing a famous photo in Life magazine and meeting photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa. Riboud spent much of his career extensively traveling and photographing regions across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and as one of the few allowed in North Vietnam between 1968-1969.

This document presents a rare case report of a 30-year-old woman diagnosed with Takayasu arteritis who presented with both aneurysmal dilation and stenosis of the right common carotid artery. Imaging revealed aneurysmal dilation of the right innominate and proximal right common carotid arteries as well as a 75% focal stenosis in the right common carotid artery distal to the dilation. Treatment with prednisone resulted in improvement of symptoms and normalization of inflammation markers. The concurrent presence of aneurysmal dilation and stenosis from Takayasu arteritis in the same vessel is an exceptionally rare finding.
