This document provides a summary of an individual's education and professional experience in graphic design. It includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the University of Florida with a 3.6 GPA. Professional experience includes graphic design roles at Florida Sea Grant, Paper+Plastick record label, and freelance logo design. I. Purpose
The Rackspace Scholarship for BDPA Students is intended to provide financial assistance to an undergraduate or graduate student, rising sophomore or higher enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Computer Science or an IT related discipline.
The objective of this scholarship is to support students who are committed to their academic studies and share our passion for the Rackspace core values.
II. Criteria/Eligibility
An applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student, rising sophomore or higher enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Computer Science or an IT related discipline.
The scholarship committee will review completed applications and awards will be made on the basis of the following criteria:
• Proven academic performance – minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Strong and consistent involvement/leadership in STEM related-organizations such as BDPA and NSBE or community involvement
• Interested in software development, cyber security, or data science/big data
• Experience with Linux and the open source community either through personal projects or past internships
• An interest in and availability to seek internships in Texas
• A passion for fanatical support
