Ayana Avery is a senior guard for Radford University's women's basketball team. She holds the program record for career 3-pointers made with 261. Avery is one of 21 members of the RU women's basketball 1,000-point club. She majors in communications with minors in sports administration and marketing. In the 2014-15 season, Avery scored a career-high 27 points against Gardner-Webb and made 7 three-pointers, also a career best. She led the team in scoring 10 times and led the team in 3-pointers made 22 times over the course of the season.

The Angelo State women’s basketball team will be after its third-straight win on Friday, Dec. 12 against McMurry at Kimbrell Arena in Abilene at 5:30 p.m.
