As soon as I saw the big animal
in the artist’s installation, I
thought of my favorite stuffed
animal that always stays with
me on my bed. The newspapers
around it reminded me of the
polaroid pictures that I love to
take with my friends.

The artist’s picture of a
soldier reminded me of my
stepdad, who is a retired
Air force. I used some of his
mementos to take a picture
that shows American Pride.

These are bananas that I had at home
lined up against the stone walls that
our house has. In the artist’s work, I
was not sure what those big things
were, but they reminded me of some
kind of fruit, which gave me an idea to
use bananas.
