There are two main types of eels, short fin and long fin. The waka at Aratoi is called Te Heke Rangatira and has feathers and carvings added to it, after being donated by a lady who no longer needed it.

There are two main types of eels there is
the short fin and the long fin.
The maori word for eel is Tuna

3. ....THE WAKA....
The name of the waka is Te Heke Rangatira
The waka has feathers and carvings on it.
The waka was given to Aratoi by a lady that didn’t need it
anymore.
After they got given the waka they added the feathers and
the carvings to it.
