Apple Finance was incorporated in 1985. The company is promoted by the Apple Industries
Group and is engaged in leasing and hire purchase. The company`s office is located in Andheri,
Mumbai. It incorporated as a public limited company under the name Apple Leasing &
Computers on October 15, 1985.
The name of the company was changed to Apple Leasing & Industries with effect from
September 1, 1986. The name of the company was again changed to Apple Industries with effect
from August 30, 1989. Apple Finance was promoted by Atul K Nishar, Nishar family and AKN
Leasing. The company plans to set up more centres to further spread the geographical coverage
of its information technology activities. The company plans to expand the current operational
areas in information technology. It has decided to diversify its operations by setting up a 100%
Export Oriented Unit for quarrying and processing of granite blocks. In 2000, ICRA has
downgraded the medium-term debt as well as the fixed deposits and non-convertible debenture
programmes of both Apple Finance and Apple Credit Corporation from 'MA-' to 'MD'.
