A discussion was held at APRICOT 2017 to gather input on conducting regular data collection and benchmarking of internet exchange points (IXPs). The discussion highlighted presentations from New Zealand Registry Services (NZRS) on the importance of IXP data collection and from the Euro-IX Benchmarking Club on their IXP benchmarking activities in Europe. Next steps include gauging interest from APIX and APNIC members in collaboratively conducting regular IXP data gathering and benchmarking in the region.

APNIC Hackathon The Lord of IPv6

APNIC Hackathon CDN Ranking
1. The document discusses ranking CDNs based on latency from probes in Nepal. It aims to identify the fastest CDN for a given location by analyzing latency data from RIPE ATLAS probes.
2. The team collected ping data from RIPE ATLAS for several major CDNs and analyzed the latency information to rank the CDNs. Akamai had the lowest average latency at 25ms, making it the fastest CDN in Nepal based on the analysis.
