PROJECTS AND INTERNSHIP
• Projects at Samsung Research Institute, Noida June’15 – Present
i. Undertook the application optimization in terms of memory usage and launch time for Samsung
J2 devices which is a huge success among Samsung customers.
ii. Worked on upgrading native applications of Samsung in Android Platform.
iii. Birthday Reminders: Providing reminder feature in S Planner alerts for birthday events created
in both S Planner and other accounts like Gmail, Facebook along with the options to Post on
Wall or Call/Message accordingly.
iv. Location Reminder in S Planner: Providing location based reminder feature for events. This
enables the user to get an alert whenever he reaches the proximity of a particular location which
is saved by an event.
v. Advanced Sticker Feature: Sticker based templates for events and default settings for events
based on the sticker type. This is a feature for enhanced user experience based on the selection
of the sticker type to remove the redundant data and to enable the user to set default profiles for
particular type of events.
vi. Integrated Mapview: A single mapview for all the events scheduled on a particular day with the
information about the distance between different locations of events and the route between them
sorted in the order of event time.
• Small C Compiler
It comprised of making a tiny C compiler to see how code is processed in a computer. This project was
under the guidance of Dr. Arunsomasundaram (PhD UCLA). We implemented various aspects of
a compiler like lexical analysis, syntax analysis, semantic analysis, symbol table generation, three
address code generation and finally generating assembly code.
EXTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES / ACHIEVEMENTS
• Awarded Kudos certificate for good performance in SPlanner module.
• Cleared professional level software competency (algorithm coding contest) at Samsung Global
Software competition. Less than 1% of Samsung employees have cleared.
• High frequency of participation in coding contests online with good coding profile in various sites.
• Ranked 33rd
in Overnight coding contest in IIT Kharagpur in Kshitij 2013.
• Was part of the Robolution club in BIT Mesra. Attended workshops on robotics and made a line
follower. Later took part in robotics event in college fest and was able to secure second position.
