This document provides descriptions of 20 therapy dogs that participate in Doylestown Health's Animal-Assisted Activity Program. Each dog is described in 1-2 sentences highlighting their breed, personality traits, likes and dislikes. 2. Luke | Golden Retriever
Loves swimming, running and chasing. Can spin, jump,
back-up, wave and pick a $20 bill out of a pile of ones.
3. Bruno | German Shepherd and Alaskan Malamute
Kind, polite, smart and silly. Has more than doubled his weight since his rescue.
4. Scruffy | Miniature Schnauzer/Cairn Terrier Mix
Loving, attentive, calm. Enjoys playing catch and cuddling.
5. Fiona | West Highland White Terrier
Feisty but friendly. Likes to bury herself under the nearest blanket.
Say, “Ah, ah baby,” and Fiona puts her head on your shoulder.
6. Gracie | Goldendoodle
Gracie is calm, sensitive, playful and very friendly.
She loves chasing a ball and not giving it back.
7. Hitch | Golden Retriever
Hitch is pals with the lambs, kids and calves on the farm where he lives.
Golden retrievers love to socialize with other animals, as well as humans.
8. Finnegan (Finn) | Australian Labradoodle
He loves to snuggle, have playdates, meet people and
work with special needs children in the Roxy Reading program.
9. Cassius | Boxer
He always wants to be in the middle of whatever is going on.
Cassius is very intuitive; he’s incredibly patient and gentle with children.
10. Juma | Labradoodle
Expressive, cooperative, smart, obedient, loving and gentle.
Juma loves to go to the park and go for rides.
11. Tess | Clumber Spaniel
Loves swimming, car rides, greeting new people and cuddling. Clumber Spaniels are
known for “woowooing“ rather than barking when they are excited.
12. Scooter | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Scooter is gentle, intuitive, fearless and adorable. Cavaliers are known as
“comforter spaniels” because of their sweet and loving nature.
13. Monet | Shih Tzu
Gentle, attentive and calm. Monet loves to "strike a pose" by laying in the middle of
whatever you are working on — a stack of papers, a magazine or laundry.
14. Sovee | Samoyed
Whimsical, compassionate, social and gentle. Sovee is an active sled dog;
his job on the racing team is to pull the sled out and around corners and trees.
15. Maggie | White doodle
Exuberant yet gentle; very people-friendly.
Maggie enjoys popping bubbles and getting her teeth brushed.
16. Irina | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Though Irina is deaf, she never needs to be called for dinner because she can tell
time. Cavaliers were beloved pets of the 17th century King of England.
17. Maggie | Golden Retriever
Gentle, loving and playful. Would chase balls if allowed.
Golden Retrievers can be many different colors from white, to golden to red.
18. Thatcher | Yellow English Lab
Known for her joy and intelligence, and kindness. Enjoys long walks and swimming.
Both American and English labs are highly intelligent, kind and confident.
19. Seele (Moose) | St. Bernard
Favorite activities are sleeping and eating. Seele isn't really active, but does enjoy
spending time outside in cooler weather. St. Bernard’s are known as gentle giants.
20. Willie | Black English Labrador
Thoughtful, reserved nature; Willie enjoys long walks and swimming.
English Labradors are prized for conformation.
21. Buddy | Shih Tzu
Enjoys blueberries and homemade peanut butter and oat cookies. Can drink
out of a cup and eat off a fork. Shih Tzu’s are people-loving companion dogs.
