The Argentine Republic proclaimed the "National Day of Bandoneon" on July 11th, the birthday of Anibal Troilo. This day was established through Law 26035, which was enacted on May 18, 2005. Troilo was a renowned Argentine tango musician and bandoneon player who fell in love with the bandoneon as a child and played it for his entire career. He composed many famous tangos, including "Sur" and "Responso," and was known for his generous nature and ability to lose himself in the music during performances.

words, the two I love the most. The
inspiration for ‘Responso’ came one night
while playing blackjack with some friends
in my home; I... felt like I was not there. It

went to my room and started playing a
few notes. ‘Responso’ started to come
up! I think this is the best tribute we
could give to Homero Manzi.”

9. Pichuco had a well-earned
reputation as a chubby good
man, helpful and generous. Zita,
the love of his life used to say:
"One day I reproached his
working every night with the
quartet, even though we no
longer were short of money. He
replied: "How are the singer and
his six children going to eat? If I
don’t work he doesn’t work
either”

eyes, forget everything and
let the musses guide him to
unknown hidden places until
