 Android was
found way
back in
2003.
 It was
developed
in Palo Alto,
California.
FOUNDER
 The Android operating system,
including the Linux kernel, contains
approximately 12 million lines of
code.
 In this there are: 3 million lines of
XML, 2.8 million lines of C, 2.1 million
lines of Java, and 1.75 million lines of
C++.
 Android was purchased by the GOOGLE
in AUGUST,2005 for 50 million $.
 It’s consortium of several companies.
 Reason for Nokia not to develop Android
Mobiles is Nokia is not part of OHA.
Android is not a single piece of hardware.
Android supports wireless communication
using:-
 Android is a multi-process system, in
which each application (and parts of
the system) runs in its own process.
 3G Networks
 4G Networks
 802.11 Wi-Fi Networks
 Bluetooth Connectivity
