In the days when Judges ruled Israel, a famine forced a man named Elimelech from Bethlehem to relocate his family to Moab. There, Elimelech and his two sons died, leaving Naomi widowed. Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem with her two Moabite daughters-in-law, Orpah and Ruth. Orpah returned home, while Ruth clung to Naomi, declaring her loyalty and faith in Naomi's God. The two women arrived in Bethlehem at barley harvest, with Ruth determined to care for her grieving mother-in-law.
This document outlines a church's vision and goals for the year 2014. It encourages church members to: 1) Surrender their plans for 2014 to God and savor each moment. 2) Seek God's heart and will through reading the Bible, praying, and making His priorities their own. 3) Examine their conduct, influence, love, and ideals. The key things emphasized are loving God and others, that every member has an important role, and looking to Jesus as the perfect example.
The document contains lyrics from several contemporary Christian worship songs that praise God and express devotion to him. The songs celebrate God's love, grace, faithfulness and holiness. They declare that God is worthy of praise and that singing praise is how believers express love and worship for their Lord and King.
The document discusses the roles of priests in ministering before God. Faithful priests like Zadok were allowed to minister in the outer court, holy place, and holy of holies. In contrast, unfaithful priests like Eli and Abiathar were confined to the outer court only. True worship requires living a holy life and being vessels prepared for noble purposes. Proper order is needed when carrying God's presence, as the faithful priests will one day see God face to face in heaven.
The document describes King Ahab of Israel who did more evil than any other king by worshipping the pagan god Baal. It then discusses the prophet Elijah, who predicted a drought at God's command, and was fed by ravens. When the brook he lived by dried up, God sent him to a widow who provided for him and whose son Elijah later resurrected, demonstrating God's power.

Zechariah received visions concerning the future restoration and glory of Israel through the coming Messiah. His first vision featured riders on horses symbolizing God's conquest of enemies. Subsequent visions included a man measuring Jerusalem, Joshua the high priest in filthy garments, a golden lampstand representing God's church, and four chariots depicting God's angels. In life, we have a disease which is a "silent killer". Spiritually speaking, we have a "silent killer" that could lead to immediate death which is the wages of sin (Romans 6:23)

1. Maipaliwanag ang pakahulugan ng palantadan.

Faith requires trusting God's power, standing on God's promises, and focusing on God's purpose. Whenever God restores something, He restores it to a greater state than before. True faith is demonstrated through works, and believers should work hard in order to present themselves before God and correctly explain His word to others, doing all things to represent Jesus and give thanks to God.
The disciples asked Jesus why they could not drive out a demon. Jesus responded that it was because of their small faith, and that if they had faith even as small as a mustard seed, they could move mountains.
Joseph was taken as a slave to Egypt, where he became successful because the Lord was with him. He found favor with his master and was put in charge of the household. The Lord blessed his master's house because of Joseph.
Joseph's master's wife tried to seduce him but he refused because it would be a sin. When she falsely accused him after he fled from her, he was thrown into prison. But the Lord was with Joseph and gave him favor with the jailer, putting
This document contains a summary of passages from Matthew 17:19-20 and Genesis 39 about having faith and faith that works. It discusses that faith without works is dead, and gives examples of Joseph having faith even when faced with temptation. It encourages the reader to apply God's word, bear God's image in all they do, and give their best for God's glory. Faith requires action on our part for God to work and bring about answered prayers.
The disciples were unable to cast out a demon and asked Jesus why. Jesus responded that it was because of their small faith, saying that even a tiny amount of faith could move mountains. Jesus then told a parable about a prodigal son who wasted his inheritance and returned home seeking forgiveness. The father welcomed his son back with open arms and celebrated his return, angering the older son who was jealous of the welcome. The parable teaches about God's forgiveness and mercy for those who repent.
This document discusses faith and restoration through several Bible passages. It notes that faith is not knowing what will happen but knowing God will hold the future. Extraordinary life comes from God's power combined with our faith. It references the parable of the prodigal son to show how God restores what was broken when we have faith. Faith gives hope and responding to circumstances with faith allows God to work. God restores things to a place greater than before when we place our brokenness in his hands through faith.
1) The document outlines a weekly topics series on faith that will cover how faith matters, restores, works, heals, unites and builds.
2) It examines the story of Job who endured great suffering and loss but maintained his faith in God, and was restored twofold by God for his faithfulness.
3) Key aspects of faith discussed include trusting in God's power, standing on his promises, and keeping the focus on his greater purpose even in times of pain. Faith unleashes God's power and is necessary to please him.
The document describes Job's situation before and after his trials of faith. Before his trials, Job had significant wealth and family, including 7 sons and 3 daughters. However, during his trials, Job lost all his possessions and his children died. After responding to his trials with faith, God restored Job's fortunes, giving him double what he had before - 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. Job also had 7 more sons and 3 more daughters and lived to be 140 years old.

7. 1 Pakinggan ninyo, mga taga-
Israel, itong sinabi ni Yahweh
laban sa inyo na inilabas niya mula
sa Egipto:
2 "Sa lahat ng bansa sa ibabaw
ng lupa,kayo lamang ang aking
itinangi at inalagaan. Kaya't kayo'y
aking paparusahan dahil sa inyong
mga kasalanan."
8. Ang Panginoon ay nagsalita
laban sa mga Israelita. Na
kung saan mayroon Siyang
espesyal na ugnayan. Na
kung saan sila rin ay
parurusahan sa kanilang mga
kasalanan.
9. 3 Maaari bang magsama sa
paglalakbay ang dalawang taong
hindi nagkakasundo?
4 Umuungal ba ang leon sa
kagubatan kung wala siyang
mabibiktima? Umaatungal ba ang
batang leon sa loob ng yungib,
kung wala siyang nahuling
anuman?
10. 5 Mabibitag ba ang isang ibon
kung hindi pinainan? Iigkas ba ang
bitag kung ito'y walang huli?
6 Kapag ang mga trumpeta'y
humudyat sa lunsod,
hindi ba't manginginig sa takot ang
mga tao? Kapag may sakunang
dumating sa lunsod, hindi ba si
Yahweh ang may gawa niyon?
11. May pitong tanong na kung
saan lantad din ang sagot.
Ang layunin at kahulugan ng
mga tanong ay ipinaliwanag
din.
12. 7 Tunay na ang Panginoong
Yahweh ay di kumikilos, kung
hindi pa ipinababatid sa mga
lingkod niyang propeta.
8 Kapag umungal ang leon, sino
ang hindi matatakot? Kapag
nagsalita ang Panginoong Yahweh,
sinong hindi magpapahayag?
13. Pwede bang manahimik ang
isang Propeta pag ang Diyos
ay nagsalita? Hindi
Ang Diyos ay hindi
gumagawa ng isang bagay na
hindi muna tayo sinasabihan.
At sa pagkakataon na ito Siya
ay nangusap kay Amos.
14. 16 Nagsalita ka sa akin, at
pinakinggan kitang mabuti. Ang
mga salita mo'y aking kagalakan.
Ako'y sa iyo, Yahweh, Diyos na
Makapangyarihan sa lahat.
15. 5 Ang pupuntahan mo ay ang
sambayanang Israel, at hindi ibang
bansang mahirap unawain ang
salita.
17. 9 Ipahayag mo sa mga nakatira
sa mga tanggulan ng Asdod, at sa
mga tanggulan ng Egipto,
"Magtipon kayo sa mga bundok ng
Samaria, tingnan ninyo ang
malaking kaguluhan doon,
maging ang nagaganap na pang-
aapi sa lunsod."
18. 10 "Hindi na nila alam ang
paggawa ng mabuti," sabi ni
Yahweh. "Ang mga bahay nila'y
punung-puno ng mga bagay na
kinamkam sa pamamagitan ng
karahasan at pagpatay.
19. Ashdod at egipto
Ay tinawag ng diyos para
maging saksi o testigo sa
kasamaan ng israel.
20. 11 Kaya't lulusubin sila ng isang
kaaway, wawasakin ang kanilang
mga tanggulan, hahalughugin ang
kanilang mga tahanan."
21. 12 Sabi pa ni Yahweh, "Kung
paanong walang maililigtas ang
isang pastol sa tupang sinila ng
isang leon, liban sa dalawang paa't
isang tainga. Iilan din ang ililigtas
ng Diyos sa mga Israelitang
nakatira ngayon sa Samaria at
nakahiga sa magagarang higaan.
22. 13 "Pakinggan ninyong mabuti ito
at babalaan ang mga anak ni
Jacob,“ sabi ng Panginoong
Yahweh, ang Diyos na
Makapangyarihan sa lahat.
14 "Sa araw na parusahan ko ang
mga taga-Israel dahil sa kanilang
mga kasalanan, wawasakin ko ang
mga altar sa Bethel, at malalaglag
sa lupa ang mga iyon.
23. 15 Wawasakin ko ang mga bahay
na pantaglamig at pantag-araw.
Guguho ang mga bahay na yari sa
garing; ang malalaking bahay ay
wawasaking lahat."
24. Ang Israel ay ninakawan ng
kanilang kalaban. Ang
kanilang kalaban ay
Assyrians.
27. Ang mga babaeng taga
Samaria ay nangaapi sa
mahihina, naninikil sa
mahihirap, at naguutos sa mga
asawa upang dalhan kayo ng
inumin.
28. 1 Pakinggan ninyo ito, mga babae
sa Samaria na naglalakihang gaya
ng mga baka ng Bashan, na nang-
aapi sa mahihina, nangingikil sa
mahihirap, at nag-uutos sa inyong
mga asawa upang dalhan kayo ng
inumin.
29. 2 Ang Panginoong Yahweh ay
banal, at kanyang ipinangako:
"Darating ang araw na kayo'y
huhulihin ng pamingwit. Bawat isa
sa inyo'y matutulad sa isdang
nabingwit.
kasalanan! Pumunta rin kayo sa
Gilgal at dagdagan pa ang inyong
mga kasalanan! Magdala kayo ng
mga hayop na ihahandog tuwing
umaga; magdala kayo ng
ikasampung bahagi tuwing
ikatlong araw.
34. 5 Maghandog kayo ng tinapay
bilang pasasalamat; ipagyabang
ninyo ang inyong mga kusang-
loob na handog! sapagkat ito ang
gustung-gusto ninyong gawin.
35. 19 Ika-10 araw ng unang buwan ng
taon nang tumawid ng Ilog Jordan
ang bayang Israel. Nagkampo sila
sa Gilgal na nasa silangan ng
Jerico.
36. Para sambahin ang kanilang
diyos diyosan sa bethel at
Gilgal. Ito ay desenyo para
ipakita kung paano sila
tumalikod sa Diyos.
44. 2. Kaya dapat handa tayong
humarap sa Diyos. Kung saan
Siya ang hahatol sa atin. At
ang Pangalan Niya ay Yahweh.
45. 12 Sabi pa ni Yahweh, "Kung
paanong walang maililigtas ang
isang pastol sa tupang sinila ng
isang leon, liban sa dalawang paa't
isang tainga. Iilan din ang ililigtas
ng Diyos sa mga Israelitang
nakatira ngayon sa Samaria at
nakahiga sa magagarang higaan.
46. 13 "Pakinggan ninyong mabuti ito
at babalaan ang mga anak ni
Jacob,“ sabi ng Panginoong
Yahweh, ang Diyos na
Makapangyarihan sa lahat.
49. 1 Mga taga-Israel, pakinggan ninyo
ang panaghoy kong ito tungkol sa
inyo:
2 Nabuwal ang Israel at di na
makakabangon. Nakahandusay
siya at sa kanya'y walang
tumutulong.
at kayo'y mabubuhay;
5 huwag kayong pumunta sa
Bethel upang humingi ng tulong;
huwag kayong pumunta doon sa
Beer-seba, sapagkat ang mga taga-
Gilgal ay tiyak na mabibihag, at
ang Bethel ay mawawalang
kabuluhan."
55. 6 Lumapit kayo kay Yahweh at
kayo'y mabubuhay. Kung hindi,
bababa siyang parang apoy sa mga
anak ni Jose, susunugin ang Bethel
at walang makakasugpo sa apoy na
ito. 7 Kahabag-habag kayo na
nagkakait ng katarungan at
yumuyurak sa karapatan ng mga
tao!
56. Lumapit sa Diyos at
mabubuhay, sapagkat kung
hindi kayo lalapit may parusa
ang Diyos na naghihintay sa
inyo.
57. 8 Nilikha ni Yahweh ang Pleyades
at ang Orion. Itinatakda niya ang
araw at ang gabi. Tinipon niya ang
tubig mula sa karagatan, upang
muling ibuhos sa sangkalupaan;
Yahweh ang kanyang pangalan.
9 Winawasak niya ang mga kuta at
dinudurog ang mga tanggulan.
59. 10 Namumuhi kayo sa
naninindigan sa katarungan, at
hinahamak ang nagsasabi ng
katotohanan.
11 Ginigipit ninyo ang mahihirap
at hinuhuthot ang kanilang ani.
Kaya't hindi ninyo matitirhan ang
bahay na batong inyong itinayo, ni
malalasap man lang ang alak mula
sa malalawak ninyong ubasan.
60. 12 Alam ko kung gaano karami ang
inyong ginawang kasamaan, at
kung gaano kabigat ang inyong
mga kasalanan. Kayo'y humihingi
ng suhol sa mga taong matuwid, at
ipinagkakait ninyo sa mga
mahihirap ang katarungan.
13 Naghahari ang kasamaan sa
panahong ito; kaya't kung ika'y
matalino, mananahimik
ka na lang.
62. 14 Gawin mo ang matuwid, hindi
ang masama, upang ikaw ay
mabuhay. Sa gayon, sasaiyo si
Yahweh, ang Diyos na
Makapangyarihan sa lahat, tulad
ng sinasabi mo.
63. 15 Kamuhian mo ang masama,
ibigin ang mabuti. Pairalin mo sa
mga hukuman ang katarungan,
baka sakaling kahabagan ni
Yahweh ang matitirang buhay sa
lahi ni Jose.
64. Saliksikin natin ang mabuti at
hindi yong masama at ang
Diyos magiging mahabagin sa
atin.
66. 16 Kaya't sinasabi ni Yahweh, ang
Diyos na Makapangyarihan sa
lahat, ang Panginoon, "Maririnig sa
mga lansangan ang mga pagtangis;
at ang mga paghihinagpis sa mga
liwasan. Pati ang mga magsasaka
ay makikidalamhati, kasama ng
mga bayarang taga-iyak.
67. 17 May mga pagtangis sa bawat
ubasan, sapagkat darating na ako
sa inyong kalagitnaan."
69. 18 Kahabag-habag kayo na
naghihintay sa pagdating ng araw
ni Yahweh! Bakit ninyo hinihintay
ang araw na iyon? Iyon ay
magiging araw ng kadiliman, hindi
ng kaliwanagan.
70. 19 Para kayong umiwas sa leon
ngunit oso ang nasagupa! O kaya'y
gaya ng isang taong umuwi sa
bahay, ngunit pagsandal sa
dingding ay tinuklaw ng ahas!
20 Magiging pusikit na kadiliman
at hindi kaliwanagan ang araw ni
Yahweh; araw na napakalungkot at
napakadilim!
71. Hindi maganda ang pagdating
ng Panginoon sa mga
makasalanan sapagkat ito ay
araw ng kadiliman sa kanila.
72. 21 "Namumuhi ako sa inyong mga
handaan, hindi ako nalulugod sa
inyong mga banal na pagtitipon.
22 Hindi ko matatanggap ang
inyong mga handog na sinusunog,
handog na mga pagkaing butil at
mga hayop na pinataba. Kahit na
ang mga iyon ay handog
pangkapayapaan, hindi ko pa rin
papansinin.
73. 23 Tigilan na ninyo ang maiingay
na awitan; ayoko nang marinig ang
inyong mga alpa.
24 Sa halip ay padaluyin ninyo ang
katarungan, gaya ng isang ilog;
gayundin ang katuwiran tulad ng
isang di natutuyong batis.
74. Ang Diyos ay tumalikod sa
kanila dahil sa reliyon na
dapat mayroong katuwiran at
katarungan
75. 25 "Sa loob ng apatnapung taong
pamamalagi ninyo sa ilang, O
Israel, nagdala ba kayo sa akin ng
mga handog na sinusunog at ng
mga handog ng pasasalamat?
26 Buhatin na ninyo ang rebulto ni
Sakut na inyong hari at ni Kaiwan,
ang diyos na bituin, ang mga
imahen na inyong ginawa.
82. 1 Kahabag-habag kayong
namumuhay na maginhawa sa
Zion, at kayong naninirahang
Nakakahigit ba sila kaysa Juda at
Israel? Mas malaki ba ang lupaing
sakop nila kaysa inyo?
85. 3 Gusto ninyong ipagpaliban ang
araw ng inyong kapahamakan,
ngunit sa ginagawa ninyo'y lalong
nalalapit ang araw ng karahasan.
4 Kahabag-habag kayo na nahihiga
sa magagarang kama na yari sa
garing, at nagpapahinga sa
malalapad na himlayan, habang
nagpapakabusog sa mga piling
tupa at pinatabang guya.
86. 5 Lumilikha pa kayo ng mga
walang kabuluhang awitin sa saliw
ng alpa; tulad ni David, gumagawa
kayo ng mga instrumento para sa
inyong musika. 6 Sa malalaking
mangkok na kayo umiinom ng
alak, at mamahaling pabango ang
ipinapahid sa katawan, ngunit
hindi kayo nagdadalamhati sa
pagkawasak ng Israel!
87. 7 Kaya nga't kayo ang unang
magiging bihag; matitigil na ang
inyong mga handaan at
pagdiriwang.
89. 8 Mariing ipinahayag ng
Panginoong Yahweh, ang Diyos na
Makapangyarihan sa lahat,
"Namumuhi ako sa labis na
kapalaluan ng Israel! Hindi ako
nalulugod sa kanilang mga
tanggulan. Ibibigay ko sa kaaway
ang buong lunsod at ang lahat ng
bagay na naroon."
91. 9 Kung sasampung lalaki ang
natira sa isang pamilya, silang
lahat ay mamamatay.
92. 10 Kapag dumating ang kamag-
anak ng mga namatay upang ilabas
at sunugin ang mga bangkay,
magtatanong siya sa sinumang
nagtatago sa bahay kung mayroon
pa siyang ibang kasama. Kung ang
sagot ay, "Wala!" Sasabihin nito,
"Tumahimik ka!" Ingatan nating
huwag mabanggit man lang ang
pangalan ni Yahweh.
93. 11 Kapag siya ang nag-utos,
magkakadurug-durog ang mga
bahay, malaki man o maliit.
94. 12 Tumatakbo ba sa batuhan ang
mga kabayo? Naipang-aararo ba sa
dagat ang mga baka? Hindi nga,
ngunit ginawa ninyong lason ang
katarungan at pinalitaw na mali
ang tama. 13 Tuwang-tuwa kayo
nang masakop ninyo ang bayan ng
Lo-debar. a Sabi ninyo, "Tayo'y
malakas at nakaya nating sakupin
ang Karnaim." b
95. 14 Ngunit ito ang sagot ni Yahweh,
ang Diyos na Makapangyarihan sa
lahat: "Susuguin ko ang isang
bansa laban sa inyo, mga taga-
Israel. Kayo'y pahihirapan buhat sa
Pasong Hamat sa hilaga hanggang
sa Batis ng Araba sa timog."

ANG PABALIK BALIK NA
TEMA NG KATARUNGAN
AT KATUWIRAN
Amos 5:7,15,24; 6:12
Amos 3:10; 4:1; 5:10-12
98. 7 Kaya nga't kayo ang unang
magiging bihag; matitigil na ang
inyong mga handaan at
pagdiriwang.
99. 15 Inyong kapootan ang masama,
at ibigin ang mabuti, at kayo'y
mangagtatatag ng kahatulan sa
pintuang-bayan: marahil ang
Panginoon, ang Dios ng mga
hukbo ay magiging mapagbiyaya
sa nalabi sa Jose.
100. 24 Kundi bumugso ang katarungan
na parang tubig, at ang katuwiran
na parang malakas na agos.
101. 12 Tatakbo baga ang mga kabayo
sa malaking bato? magaararo baga
roon ang sino man sa
pamamagitan ng mga toro? inyo
ngang ginagawang kapaitan ang
katarungan, at ajenjo ang bunga ng
katuwiran,
106. 10 Huwag din tayong
magreklamo, tulad ng ilan sa
kanila, kaya't nilipol naman sila ng
anghel na namumuksa.
