Communication requires a sender, receiver, message, channel, and code. For a message to be transmitted there must be an emitter who sends the information, a receptor who receives it, a message or information being sent, a channel or medium through which the message is transmitted, and a code or system of meaning that is shared and allows both the emitter and receptor to understand the message.
