If I could have any famous African-American person attend at my family reunion
it,would be AliauneDamalaBadaraThiam,better known as simply Akon.He’s a
songwriter and record producerthat has offered a lot and still continue to offer
trough his music like deep emotions and also opportunity to Africans. To became
who he is now he did by itself though his talent and study of music, and religion
that has grew him with important values.
The reaons that i would invite him because he’s still alive, and not dead like good
artists that have left this world during their careers, and active from 1996.Than
because he’s a really original artist that always remember his roots even through
his music with the song like:”Freedom”.
Akon is also known, not only from me, but all around the world by the fact that
his father is the Senegalese percussionist MorThiam,but he was born in ST.Luis
Missouri so that he wouldn’t have any problems with immigration.He has been in
a lot of TV shows.His known because of one of his most best and successful
albums:Konvicted, which received three nominations for the Grammy
Awards.He was a close friend of MichealJackson.And at the and is also known of
being an owner of an African mine, that is dedicated to avoiding use of blood
diamonds while also donating profits to local communities
