During the past five years, I, Alfred Fiedler, have been actively involved as a
welder and ironworker with companies specializing in commercial structural iron
construction and fabrication. I started out as an apprentice welder receiving my welding
training from BCIT. After completing my level C welding ticket in 2012 and after getting
the required hours I continued completing my level B certification at BCIT in 2014. In
2015, I completed the level A certification at BCIT.
Presently, I am a certified Journeyman Welder with the Red Seal ticket and a
CWB certified Welding Supervisor. I have worked in the shop welding and fabricating
structural steel products from railings to large BC Hydro structures. I have also worked
as a field welder on new apartment constructions installing canopies or other structural
steel of newly erected buildings. I have also run job sites as a site foreman, where I was
required to run the crew, read and interpret drawings and organize the installations of
the structural steel.
