Newsletter April 07 on Asia Emerging Leaders Summit

1. Ps 145:4 says “One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty works.” The Asia
Emerging Leaders Summit held in Bali from 11-15 March 2007 engaged in defining Asia’s new leadership
paradigm for the raising up of a Courageous Community of Servant Leaders.
Transform World Connection was one of a group of sponsors who
served in an interactive program led by Bambang Budijanto, VP of
Compassion International, in one-o- one coaching, small group
discussions/problem solving, powerful Bible studies, extended times of
prayer and leadership development coaching all formed part of their
curriculum. The summit sought to address the ongoing issue of
building up “a new generation of Daniels and Esthers” for their
generation. The sponsors included Compassion International, Fuller
Theological Seminary, Eagles Communications, and INFEMIT
We felt it was part of our God given mandate to pass on the baton to
new leaders and to commit to pray for them as they continue in their
God given assignments for their generation.
A key point which our younger
friends will take back with them is a
greater understanding of “preferring
significance over success” and
“impact over events” We believe
each of them has the potential to
significantly impact their nation over
the next decade and beyond. We
have encouraged them to
courageously “push” at the
boundaries of their present influence,
to regions and areas that they have
perhaps not yet thought off. A
paradigm shift has begun in their
minds, a holy restlessness, a deeper
understanding of accountability and a passion to simply obey the commands of Jesus in their generation.

2. In 2008 until 2010 we trust we will be able to meet our “growing community of courageous leaders” through
Asia Regional events as well as National Emerging Leaders Forums.
Bambang Budijanto serves as the Congress Director for Transform World Singapore 2010. The
emerging/younger leaders from the Asia Emerging Leaders Summit and other regional summits will be taking
the lead in planning and implementing the Global Congress.
