1. One of those hot summer nights, Philip was resting in his room,
the window was open because of the suffocating and oppressive
heat. Unexpectedly and surprisingly, he saw how a very
powerful light crossed the threshold of his room, fears
approached him, but at the same time he was very curious about
that phenomenon that he had never seen in his life.
It was something strange, like a kind of ship with a certain very
curious shape and, to his even greater amazement, he saw how
some little men descended from it with figures not at all similar
to those of an earthling. They were the extraterrestrials
descending from that flying saucer or extraterrestrial ship. When
he observed, not getting out of his astonishment, he saw how
they were little green men with very strange attires and at the
same time, according to him, a very comical clothing covering
the bodies of small people, with helmets on their heads and
antennas about 12 cm long.
He was so curious that he took courage from the depths of his
soul to approach them and make sure that they were indeed
creatures from another planet. He approached them and as a
curious thing they spoke the same language as Philip, they
understood each other and they told him that they had some
technical problems, specifically communication problems with
their commands on the planet where they came from, so they had
to land somewhere where they thought they could get what they
needed to repair their radio and continue their journey to the
unknown planet where they are from.
Philip, toured several places and trying to get what they required
to solve their problem, with such good luck that in the village

2. La llorona
A very old story that has been told to the little ones of the house. It is
a very sad story, which is engraved in the memory of the people. They
say that a long time ago in an eastern town there lived a girl of
incomparable beauty called Maria. Her beauty made this young girl
lose her simplicity and she thought she was above the rest. As Maria
grew up and became a more beautiful young woman, her vanity and
pride increased. She even looked down on the young men of the town
because they were not good enough for her, and she even commented
that when she marries, she will marry the most handsome man in the
world. One day a good looking man arrived on his horse, he was the
son of a landowner, the boy came from a wealthy family, just as she
had imagined. This young man played the guitar and sang very well.
Maria made up her mind that this would be the man in her life, so she
decided to win him over and tried all the tricks necessary to make the
young rancher fancy her. The boy brought her serenades, expensive
gifts, and thought he was winning her over, and set out to win her heart
so he could marry her. The plans went just as Maria had thought, and
soon after they were married.
Everything seemed to be a beautiful love story, the newlywed couple
began a happy life, and as a result of their union they had two children,
it seemed that they were the happiest family in the world.
The rancher again returned to the wild life and disappeared for months,
when he came home he only went to visit his children, he talked about
separating from Maria to marry a woman of the same social status.
Such a situation upset Maria very much, and her husband's inordinate
attention to her children provoked a terrible anger in her children.
On one occasion when Maria was walking the children by the river's
edge, she saw that her husband was arriving in a car, and in the car
was a lady beside the driver. When he stopped the car he greeted his
children, but Maria was ignored. When Maria's anger consumed her,
she turned all her fury towards her children, and unfortunately because
they were on the edge of the river, they fell into the river, when Maria
wanted to react to save them it was too late and they died. The next
day, a traveler brought the news to the villagers that there was a very
beautiful woman dead on the bank of the river, the beautiful woman
was Maria. On the same bank they placed her remains, and they say
that Maria is seen in her grave lamenting the death of her children, and
they call her La Llorona, her cries and screams are heard "Where are
my children?" and a woman dressed in white is seen walking along the
