Accuplacer
Scores
What do your scores mean?
Congratulations on completing the Accuplacer placement test!
After completing the test, there may be some questions about your scores. First of
all, the scores are not based on a scale of 1-100, and the test is not measured based
on a “pass or fail” system. The scores that you receive determine the courses you
will take at GBCC. Proper placement into courses will assure that you enroll in
courses that best match your current skill level.
Your next step is to meet with ___________________, an academic advisor, who will assist
you in selecting the appropriate courses. Your appointment is in
_______________________________ on __________________________ at ____________________.
If your plans change and you need to reschedule, you must call 603-427-7728.
Understanding your scores:
1.) On the following page, place the
scores you received from the proctor
in the correct column on the chart.
2.) If you believe you could benefit
from retesting, please read page 3.
3.) Follow the “Next Steps” on the
back page.

GBCC STUDENT PLACEMENT TEST PRICING AND RETEST POLICY
After initial testing students may then retest once, at their discretion, after paying the
fees noted below. Students should refer to www.greatbay.edu/testprep for review
options.

type. An advisor can assist students in determining what method(s) of review might
best meet their needs, including several web-based options. While a brief review

coverage of the topic will increase the possibility of improved scores.

*Prior college credit
As these may waive you from certain sections of the placement test.
