Accepting your “Conditional Offer” of admission
Congratulations on your conditional offer of admission to join Lahore University of Management Sciences
(LUMS)! We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to LUMS. As a student, you will be a part of a
dynamic community where knowledge is being created rather than simply described.
An admission package having following documents has already been sent to you:
1. “Conditional Offer ” letter with terms & conditions for admission;
2. A “Duplicate Copy” of the conditional offer letter to be signed and returned to the LUMS Office of
Admissions on or before the stipulated deadline;
3. “Fee Information and Refund Policy” along with a “Tuition Fee Voucher”;
4. “On Campus Residence 2016 – 17” information along with a “Hostel Fee Voucher” (if applicable)
Conditional Offer acceptance process:
An offer of admission does not guarantee you a seat in the programme. To hold your programme seat, you
must complete the following steps by the stipulated dates:
1. Submit the duplicate copy of your “Conditional offer” letter duly signed by you and your
parent/guardian on or before the due date. Make sure to return all three pages of duplicate copy of
offer letter;
2. Make payment of an appropriate tuition fee according to the “Tuition Fee Voucher” on or before
the due date;
3. Make payment of an appropriate On-Campus Residence Fee according to the “Hostel Fee Voucher”
on or before the due date (if applicable);
4. Submit complete and correct details regarding “Fee payer’s Income Tax information for FBR”
through the LUMS Online Admission account on or before the due date; and
5. Print and paste the “Mailing label” on return envelope while sending the signed copy of your
conditional offer letter and the proof of fee payment(s) back to the Admissions Office on or before
the stipulated deadline.
All offer holders MUST meet all the stated requirements in order to get enrolled for this year’s Fall semester.
Failure to meet any of the above mentioned requirements will lead to the cancellation of conditional offer
of admission with immediate effect. No further reminder will be sent in this regard.

 Carefully read the terms and conditions mentioned in the “Conditional Offer” letter as you will be
required to meet all the stipulated conditions in order to join LUMS this Fall semester. You and your
parent/guardian must sign the “Duplicate Copy” of the conditional offer letter.

 Carefully read the fee & refund policy mentioned at the back of the document “Fee Information and
Refund policy” before making the fee payment. By making the payment applicants are deemed to
accept the terms and conditions of fee and refund policy.
 Submit your tuition fee according to the “Fee Voucher”. Mode of payment is clearly mentioned on
the Fee Voucher. LUMS will not accept any other form of payment.
 You are required to pay the Fall semester`s fee through a single payment. Installments are not
allowed.
 If you plan to live on campus then carefully read the information regarding “On Campus
Residence”. Submit On-Campus Residence Fee according to the Hostel Fee Voucher.
 You must provide complete and correct information regarding “Fee payer’s Income Tax
information for FBR” through your LUMS Online Admission account. The fee payer is the person
who has paid your LUMS fee. This person can be your Father/Mother/Guardian.
 If you wish to withdraw from the programme after accepting the admission offer and making a fee
payment, please submit an online request of withdrawal through your “LUMS Online Admission”
account. Also provide the account title (Name) and a copy of CNIC of the person designated as the
recipient of the refund. The fee refund process completes in two to three weeks’ time after a
receipt of complete documents.
 If you are faced with the circumstance of an address change subsequent to your admission at
LUMS, please apply for the requisite modification in your official record at the Office of Student
Affairs [osa@lums.edu.pk]

 You and your parent/guardian must sign and return the “Duplicate copy” of the conditional offer
letter on or before the deadline along with the proof of fee payment(s) to the Admissions Office.

Important information on degree attestation
If you decide to join LUMS to complete your degree then you MUST meet the following conditions (as stated
at HEC’s website) in order to get your LUMS Graduate degree attested from the Higher Education
Commission (HEC), Pakistan:
1: Name of the applicant must be same throughout his/her educational testimonials such as Matriculation,
Intermediate, Bachelors and Masters onwards to PhD Degrees/Transcripts as well as on Computerized
National Identity Card/ Passport; otherwise they would not be attested by HEC.
2: The Applicant’s Father name must match on the applicant’s CNIC, Matriculation, Intermediate, Bachelors
and Masters onwards to PhD Degrees/ Transcripts; otherwise they would not be attested by HEC.
3: Date of Birth of the applicant must match on the Applicant’s CNIC/Passport and Matriculation Certificate;
otherwise they would not be attested by HEC.
4: Both Degrees/ Transcripts issued on the same date, and overlapping semesters between an
Undergraduate Degree and a Graduate Degree will not be recognized/attested by HEC.
Please ensure that your credentials must meet above mentioned requirements. If there is any discrepancy,
we advise you to have it corrected on URGENT basis. Responsibility to meet the prescribed requirements lies
with the student.
All admitted students MUST complete the requirements during the first year of study at LUMS.
