2. Objectives:
 To select non-edible, low grade, waste oil as a source for the production of biodiesel.
 Conversion of crude rice bran oil into methyl ester (Biodiesel).
 Use of central composite design for the optimization of trans esterification process
parameters
 Investigation of fuel properties of methyl ester and its conventional diesel.
 To study the performance and emission characteristics of a diesel engine fuelled with
methyl ester and conventional diesel.
