A GOLD COIN RUSH
From then until now! Competitive pricing on gold coins
HISTORY OF
GOLD COINS
Gold coins have been used for centuries
either as currency, commemorative pieces,
medals, or in recent years, as collector
items. The 1st gold coin was created in Asia
Minor in the 600s B.C., by the Persian
Empire. They owned the largest quantity of
gold; which they used to create gold coins
called “darics”. Centuries later, a gold coin
“aureus” appeared in the Roman Empire as
a commemoration of its recent victory. This
was the first Roman gold coin struck in
quantity that resulted in making gold
coinage more common as a currency. Since
then we’ve seen gold coins produced
around the world from Europe - in the mid
1800’s – to the China Panda and American
Gold Eagle coin.
AMERICAN GOLD EAGLE COIN
Since 1986, when the first American Eagle coin was introduced, it has been in
high demand. According to the U.S. Mint, this gold coin is not only a great
addition for any investor or collector, but the most popular gold bullion – since
they always hold their value making them easy to sell, buy and trade.
The 24 Karat American Buffalo Gold coin
was introduced by the U.S. Mint December
22, 2005 and authorized by Public Law 109-
145 also known as the Presidential $1 Coin
Act. The coin features images by noted
American sculptor James Earle Fraser, once
a student of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, for
America's five-cent coin. This coin was
struck as a collector item for members of
the public “seeking a simple and tangible
way to own and invest in 24-karat gold in
the form of legal tender coins whose
content and purity is guaranteed by the
U.S. government.”

CANADIAN MAPLE LEAF COIN
The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf gold coin is issued annually by the Canadian
government and produced by the Royal Canadian Mint. As a legal tender item its face
value is 50 Canadian dollars. It features a profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Canada and
the Canadian Maple Leaf – which bears its name.  For added security, in 2013, a laser-
micro-engraved textured maple leaf was added on a small area of the reverse (Maple
Leaf) side of the coin. In the center is a number with the coin’s year of issue - only
visible under magnification.
These coins are in demand, and we are paying
competitive prices for each.
