1. The document assigns Investigation #5 problems 11-14 due on January 28th.
2. It reviews transformations including reflections, rotations, translations, dilations, and contractions of geometric figures.
3. It explains that reflections flip figures over an axis, rotations turn figures by 90 degree increments, and translations slide figures horizontally and vertically by given amounts. Dilations and contractions enlarge or reduce figures by multiplying their coordinates by a scale factor.

Investigation #5:
REVIEW-->
*transformations - the changing of a figure's position or form.
*reflection - a "flip" - oftentimes over either the x-axis or the y-axis
*rotation - a "turn" on a certain point - oftentimes the rotation
happens in 90 degree increments
*translation - a "slide" - oftentimes both a horizontal shift & a
vertical shift (4, 2)--means 4 units to the right and up 2 units

*dilation - an enlargment of a figure
scalefactor
*contraction - a reduction of a figure
FYI...to complete a dilation or a contraction on a figure - multiply
the coordinates of the figure by the scale factor to get the
coordinates of the new figure
