This two-day training curriculum covers topics related to joint child abuse investigations, child protection assessments, police roles, forensic interviewing techniques, and principles of child development. Day one focuses on dynamics of sexual abuse, joint investigations, child welfare and police roles, and common sexual offenses. Day two focuses on the impact of child development on investigations, principles of child development, language and memory development, types of questions, biased interviews, child sexual development, investigative interview models, and interviewing alternative caregivers.
