The student is assigned to make one observational drawing per day over their 10 day half-term break. They must draw 10 specified objects including a bottle, shoe, vegetables, the view from their bedroom window, coins, scissors, their hand, a chair, their feet, and a teapot or kettle. For each 20-30 minute drawing, they should use either pencils or pens and note what they like about the image and areas for improvement on the back. They are also encouraged to photograph and blog their drawings with annotations.

1. HALF-TERM ASSIGNMENT
Your half-term break lasts for ten days. Over those ten days your task
is to make one observational drawing a day. The objects you are
required to draw are as follows:
1) A BOTTLE 2) A SHOE 3) SOME VEGETABLES 4) THE VIEW FROM YOUR
BEDROOM WINDOW 5) A FEW COINS 6) SOME SCISSORS 7) YOUR
HAND 8) A CHAIR 9) YOUR FEET 10) A TEAPOT OR KETTLE
You should aim to take at least twenty to thirty minutes over each
drawing, and you should vary between using pencils and pen on
different days. On the back of each drawing you should make notes
reflecting on what you like about the image & areas for improvement.
If possible, take photos of your work and post to your blog
over the week. You should also include your annotations
for each of the ten drawings.
