  5. To help amplify your messages and de-escalate inaccuracies.
  6. Hashtags can be used for monitoring conversation too.
  7. Way to help achieve message consistency and accuracy when situation is fluid.
  8. To coordinate multiple agencies, create an interoperable strategy and keep internal staff up to date.

  10. Avg rain and snow melt total for Boulder is 20”. 9-inches of rain fell on one day (Sept. 12) Effected flood range covered 200 miles.

  17. OEM page crashed. Took better part of the day to redeploy the website. URL changed from .org to .com causing confusion. Other social media messages and official sites continued to cite the .org address.

  20. 12 different hashtags used to follow flood postings on twitter. Everybody wants their own hashtag.
