Many of you have commented, “It seems 5.11 Tactical has gone global.”
Indeed we have! I recently traveled over 20 hours from California to
the city of Darwin, the capital city of the Northern Territories (NT), Aus-tralia.
Several years ago the NT State Police chose to adopt 5.11 Tacti-cal
uniforms as standard issue. Officers in this part of the world face
unique challenges of extreme temperatures and unpredictable condi-tions
across a vast expanse that spans from Alice Springs in the center
of Australia to Darwin, 1500 kilometers north. Our 5.11 mission speaks
of “the most demanding missions” and NT State Police put our gear to
the test. The encouraging news is that they report our uniforms and
gear earned high levels of officer satisfaction.

Born on the sheer granite faces of Yosemite
