In August 2010, the state of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles launched a new online system for citizens to
determine whether a vehicle is properly registered in the state. The state has recently eliminated vehicle registration
stickers and estimates that this modernization effort will save $400,000 annually by reducing the paperwork involved in
the renewal process.
