There are currently about 400 volunteers from all walks of life who volunteer an average of 2400 hours per week across almost all departments at Yosemite Regional Hospital. The process to become a volunteer involves attending an orientation, selecting a position, filling out an application, an interview, and submitting records. Available positions include roles in family support, hospitality, the gift shop, and pastoral care. Requirements include being 18 or older, a 3-month minimum commitment, immunizations, and a background check. It is important to understand time commitments, ensure interests align with available positions, and know patient confidentiality laws.
