4. What Is the New Life Center? The New Life Center is a nine month program which operates rehabilitation programs for men, from ages 18 and up, who have chemical dependency problems. Most rehabilitation programs last either 30, 60, or 90 days. At New Life we believe our students need a longer transition period for them to turn their lives around and reach their full potential. Since 1976, the main objective of New Life has been to reach, renew, reestablish lives. Our program provides a custodial environment with emphasis on personal interaction, setting personal goals and creating new awareness of self and others. Addicted individuals learn healthy lifestyle alternatives to support their recovery and again an understanding of the nature and the course of their addiction, as well as the recovery process. Treatment is only the first step in a lifelong process of recovery. Each student who completes the New Life program is required to participate in a twelve-step recovery program.
5. A New Beginning Addiction is a chronic progressive, relapsing illness when left untreated, can cause significant physical, emotional, social and spiritual consequences. Addiction causes a person to forego obligations to friends , family, employers, colleagues and most importantly, themselves. That's why we believe that our personalized approach is one of the most important aspects of care at New Life. Not only do we focus on the problem at hand, but all aspects of the individual. Dependency and addiction problems can seem hopeless for many people. At New Life, we know they're not. Our treatment program is full of success stories. Many have come to New Life thinking their lives were over, only to find they had just begun.
6. The Mission of New Life The mission of New Life Center has never changed. It is to help people with life-controlling problems become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive through the power of God. Since New Life Center was founded in 1976, we have seen hundreds of men's lives changed and families brought back together as they have allowed God to be the center of their lives. Success of New Life Across Georgia, judges and courts are glad to reduce the load on the over-crowded prison system by paroling the substance abuser to the New Life Center. They have discovered that New Life's recovery program results in more cures than incarceration
