The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued a final notification adding "employment in spinning mills" to Part I of the Schedule to the Minimum Wages Act of 1948. This amendment was ordered based on a previous gazette notification from July 2011 and a letter received from the Commissioner of Labour in December 2011 requesting the addition. The Governor of Andhra Pradesh exercised powers under Section 27 of the Minimum Wages Act to make this amendment official.

The following notification will be published in an Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra
Pradesh Gazette dated.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 27 of the Minimum Wages Act,
1948 (Act 11 of 1948), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following
amendment to Part-I of the Schedule to the said Act, and the same having been previously
published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.498, dt.03.09.2011 vide G.O.Rt.No.1098,
Labour, Employment, Training and Factories (Lab.II) Department, dated:11.07.2011:-
AMENDMENT
In Part-I of the Schedule to the said Act after entry No.69, the following entry shall be
added, namely:-
“70. Employment in Spinning Mills”.
