The Mancos Public Library is undergoing construction of a new, larger, and more environmentally friendly building to replace their current facility. The community passed a mill levy to fund construction of a building that will be over three times the size of the existing library, allow for expanded programs and collections, and include a larger meeting room. Updates on the construction progress show the installation of the roof, windows, flooring, and other interior elements, with the goal of being moved into the new facility by June.
