This document compares two air refueling tankers, the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker and the McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender. Both planes have extendable refueling booms and can refuel other aircraft mid-air, but the Stratotanker has a low swept wing and 4 jet engines while the Extender has 3 jet engines and a rear engine straight through design.
