WELCOME!The Big Longridge WeekendThis weekend has come about through the joint efforts of the Goosnargh and Longridge Agricultural Show (GLASS), The Friends of the Longridge Civic Hall.GLASS has a yearlong programme of fund raising activities including lunches, dinners, dances, cabaret nights and other events which support the Annual Show in July. Without the fund raising the Show Committee could not stage such a great day – with lots of free activities for children and interesting events throughout the day. The Friends of the Civic Hall are continuing to raise funds for the much needed refurbishment of the Hall – new chairs are the next priority – to make it a venue fit for the people of Longridge and the wider community to use for their celebrations and events. Our thanks go to members of the 2009 Longridge High School Young Enterprise Team for their enthusiastic input to the planning and advertising of this event, the wider business community of Longridge who have given their support to this first Big Weekend, as well as Firefly Solutions, for their excellent ideas and input in designing this booklet. All profits that are made from this weekend are being shared by GLASS and The Friends so thank you for reading this brochure and please give us as much support as you can over the 8th, 9th and 10th October to make our first Big Weekend a success!Brought to you by...The Big Longridge Weekend has been organised with help from the Goosnargh and Longridge Agricultural Society Ltd., and the Longridge Social Enterprise Company Ltd.
