A Modern Interpretation of the Traditional Steamer
Steaming food has been an integral part of Chinese cooking for hundreds of years. Office for Product Design have reinterpreted the classic Chinese steamer giving it a modern functional twist.
The fireproof ceramic bowl is more stable and less susceptible to changes in temperature than regular stoneware, making it less likely to crack or break during cooking. It can be used in conjunction with gas stove, oven, and microwave cooking. Terra cotta is featured for its efficient liquid absorbing characteristics. Using to replace the traditional bamboo basket base prevents the food from absorbing too much moisture during steaming.
This document summarizes a student project called "Calories to Watts" that aims to develop a portable device to convert calories burned during exercise into electrical energy to charge personal electronic devices. The initial proposed product was a dynamo and battery that could be coupled to bicycles or spinning bikes to generate and store power. Based on surveys, most respondents thought the idea was great or might buy a similar product. The students have since refined the idea to focus on a smaller, more portable personal gadget and adding social sharing features to track power generated over time.

Trust, competence, fairness and engagement are key factors in transformational leadership's effectiveness in enacting cultural change.
The document discusses reviews of art works such as movies, plays, books, and music. It explains that reviews summarize, analyze, and respond to art works. Reviews typically include an orientation, interpretative recount, and evaluation. Language features of reviews include a focus on participants, direct expression of opinions, elaborating clauses, metaphors, and use of tenses. Reviews also use symbols, phrases, adjectives, and words to appraise and critique the art works. An example review is then provided that summarizes the movie "Get Married", evaluates its portrayal of unemployment and friendship in Indonesia, and critiques aspects like the jokes and fights.

The minimal design and the attention to details are to awaken the sense of touch while in use.
With no ambition to translate the philosophy of the centre figure of Chinese Taoism, Lao Tsze (500B.C.), designer Kate Chung tries to record her understanding for this master’s thinking: harmony between the being (有you) and the non-being (無wu). To keep the design as minimal as possible is to encourage the user to notice the void emptiness, the hollow part that people put food in/on.
Consistent and floating lines in this series have made your own free combination on the table a fun and an artistic event.
