BANKING
Shares of banking and financial services companies rallied 1-15
percent in the afternoon on February 6 after the Reserve Bank of
India announced several measures to boost credit growth in
stressed sectors such as realty, MSMEs and NBFCs.
MEDIA
Zee Entertainment Enterprises share price plunged over 6
percent intraday on February 4 after the corporate affairs ministry
ordered an inspection of the financials of the company.
ENERGY
Indraprastha Gas (IGL) share price touched a 52-week high of Rs
534, gaining over 2 percent in the early trade on February 7
despite the company having reported a poor set of numbers for
the quarter ended in December.
TELECOM
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has sought intervention from the
Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to allow the telco to deploy
the advanced phase of the state-funded telecom connectivity initiative
in the left-wing extremism (LWE) affected states.
PHARMA
Strides Pharma Science touched a 52-week high of Rs 510,
adding 3 percent intraday on February 7, after the company's
subsidiary entered into agreement to acquire 18 ANDAs for the
US market.
