God punishes Adam for eating the fruit from the tree in the garden that he had commanded Adam not to eat from. God tells Adam that the ground is cursed because he listened to his wife and ate the fruit, and that through painful toil Adam will have to earn his food from the ground all the days of his life. Three versions of God's punishment to Adam are presented in the document.
