WILLIAM KEYSE RUDOLPH SPENDS HIS DAYS surrounded by priceless paintings, but he be-
lieves personal style should not come with the same sticker shock. Rudolph says
he embraces what he loves, regardless of whether it’s en vogue. “It doesn’t matter
who the designer or label is, it’s about if you like that particular thing,” he says. The
aspiring writer turned art historian does take a few cues from museum styling when
it comes to his wardrobe and home decor. “When I hang a gallery I like to say that
you have to get out of the way of the art. The art will tell you where it wants to go,” he
says. “Furniture and art will reveal to you when they’re not working and I think the
same thing happens with clothing. Get out of the way and see what it says to you.”
