The JSO-ERA project established a sustainable operational structure to support Ukraine's integration into the European Research Area (ERA). It set up a network of 4 thematic experts and 7 regional focal points, and trained 26 contact points on the EU's FP7 program. It developed manuals, procedures, databases and training modules to build Ukraine's capacity for participating in FP7.

activities, etc.: 8 issues distributed to more than 1000 addresses;
• Brochure on European networks published in Ukrainian to facilitate
contacts with the EU partners;
• Promotion of project through monthly activity reports, press
announcements and press releases.

18. Specific Objectives
To establish a sustainable operational structure that will
strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Education &
Science (MoES) and of the National Information Centre for
Ukraine-EU Scientific & Technological (S&T) Cooperation
(NIP-Ukraine).
To support Ukraine's S&T communities, including academia
and businesses, more particularly innovative SMEs, in
submitting more competitive proposals to the EU-funded
FP7 on Research & Technological Development in order to
intensify Ukraine's participation in this FP.
