CTS-V Coupe Design
Look at the features. Then look closer. The integrated spoiler is captivatingly
beautiful, but it also significantly reduces lift at high speeds. The grille stands
out from the crowd, but it’s so much more—larger openings improve engine
cooling and force air to the supercharger intercooler. And the fog lamps? They
were ingeniously designed with air ducts that feed cool air to the front brakes.
On the V, everything has a purpose. Often, more than one.

CTS Coupe Interior Design
In the CTS, thoughtful touches abound. One of the many examples is
available Ambient Interior Lighting. It includes a light pipe under the
wood trim on the dash and LED spotlights under the door pulls,
footwells and overhead console, setting the mood in the cabin and
setting the scene for the perfect drive.

CTS Coupe Exterior Design

like no other:
•A unique “frameless” door design and keyless, auto-touch door releases that are flush-
mounted combine to accentuate the Coupe’s clean lines
•Vertical LED tail lamps with signature light-pipe technology and a chevron-shaped stop
lamp design are unmistakably Cadillac
•Chromed, dual-exhaust outlets are center-mounted and are the final, dramatic touches to
the rear-end styling

Performance Suspension
The CTS Coupe’s fully independent suspension was designed to challenge the
world’s most revered sport sedans. Cadillac’s ingenious short/long arm (SLA)
front suspension provides adjustability and helps control the wheel movement
far better than a traditional strut. Add this brilliant suspension system to a
platform that has nearly perfect front-to-rear balance, and you get the ultimate
combination of comfort and responsiveness.

Adaptive Forward Headlights
As seen in the CTS Sport Sedan, the available Adaptive
Forward Lighting sensors read your speed and steering angle,
swiveling the HID (High-Intensity Discharge) headlamps up to
15 degrees to illuminate the direction of travel. The headlamps Gas Station Locator
are even auto-leveled based on your speed and direction.
They’re forward-thinking, in every sense.
Knowing that you’re low on gas is only part of the equation—you
also need to know where to refuel. That’s why, when your CTS
detects a low fuel level, the Driver Information Center not only
warns you, it also works with the available navigation system to
tell you where the nearest gas station is—and even shows you
how to get there.

Supercharged V8
The 6.2L supercharged V8 boasts 556 HP and 551
lb.-ft. of torque. It features an Eaton Roots-type intercooler
to cool the air before it’s mixed with the fuel, producing
power in spades. In fact, it has a 0–60 time of a mere 3.9
seconds

Dual Mode Magnetic Ride
Control
To meet the demands of both everyday driving and more demanding driving,
Such as at the track, the V-Series features Dual-mode Magnetic Ride Control,
in which the shock absorber fluid is infused with fine metallic particles. When
subjected to magnetic fields, the viscosity of the fluid changes, stiffening or softening your
ride to suit your performance demands. This groundbreaking technology reads the road
up to 1,000 times per second, maintaining chassis poise without sacrificing a comfortable
ride in both Tour Mode and Sport Mode. It’s the world’s fastest-reacting suspension.
Perhaps that’s why some of the world’s greatest sports cars, including some Ferraris,
have borrowed the technology.

Glide Up Touch Screen
Navigation
The navigation system features:
• An 8" diagonal screen that retracts into the dash, but leaves the top inch visible as the touch-screen display for the
audio system
• A 40 GB hard drive with 10 GB that can store approximately 2,000 songs
• Pause-and-play radio—much like a built-in DVR for your car stereo—lets you pause live radio (including XM
Radio4), record up to 20 minutes of audio and then play it back at a later time. This capability remains even when
the vehicle is turned off. For example, you can listen to a game on XM Radio,4 pause the live broadcast and then
turn off the car to refuel. When you get back in, resume from where you left off

Technology
Sometimes the best features are rather unexpected. Introducing the g-meter, as seen in
the CTS-V Wagon. Positioned in the Driver Information Center, it measures lateral
acceleration and remembers maximum lateral acceleration left and right. LED tracers
communicate engine RPMs quickly and clearly, allowing drivers to keep track of their
driving performance with a glance. The V has more in common with a race car than you
might think. The proof is right in front of your eyes.

High Performance Brakes
It’s no coincidence that the brakes found on some of the world’s most
sophisticated race cars are also found on the V. It features Brembo®
high-performance brakes—6-piston, 15.1" in the front; 4-piston, 14.7"
in the rear and co-cast vented rotors. Massive power requires massive
stopping power, and the V delivers.
